Mum Laughs at Son’s Resemblance to Chandler Bing
After Claire Southern was handed her son’s photograph of school photo day by his teacher, she could not stop laughing as he was smiling in the same manner as Chandler Bing from the famous sitcom Friends. The five-year-old, studying in Willows Primary School in Wythenshawe, Manchester, showed all his teeth in his first school photo day picture.
Official school photographs are something we all like to treasure. Those photos capture some hysterical moments which are memorable. One such incident was when a mother sent her daughter to the school in the wrong outfit on the official photo day. Recently, a mother was left in stitches when she saw her son’s photograph where he was smiling just like Chandler Bing.
Jacob, Claire’s son, made sure to show off all his teeth while getting his official photograph clicked. The 33-year-old mother couldn’t help but notice that her son resembled a lot to the famous Friends character, Chandler Bing, who is quite known for making an awkward face during smiling. Claire, who runs a craft business, shared Jacob’s comical grimace picture on Facebook to entertain other parents.
She wrote a caption saying that she didn’t usually buy school photos, but this picture cheered her up so much that she would definitely give him on his 18th birthday. Claire said that it was their first day out of isolation as the entire family had Covid and saying that the picture cheered them up would be an understatement.
When Jacob came out of school he was chuffed to bits with his photograph. Claire could see from a distance that his teacher was laughing and understood that it was going to be something funny. When Jacob’s teacher handed over his photograph to Claire and his nanna, they both burst out into laughter. Their first thought was about Chandler Bing. She said that they were still not sure whether Jacob was terrified in the photo as it was his first-ever school picture or if he was really giving his best grin.
She added that Jacob was an extremely cheeky little boy who is known for making dirty grins in the past. Claire said that she never buys school pictures as they are quite expensive, but she was going to keep this one and get it framed on the mantlepiece and keep it for his 18th birthday. Her post received more than 5600 likes and 400 comments from people who thought that Jacob’s school photo was hilarious.
One parent commented that some school photos were so funny that it was better to keep them and have a funny memory of childhood. Couple of years ago, her son got his photo clicked in school where it looked like he stroked out. She kept the picture as it made her laugh very much. Another parent said these thread and pictures were her favorite as they were absolutely hilarious. She said that her middle son’s school photo always looked nothing like him and wondered how it was possible every time, but she still bought it anyway.
One parent commented that she refused to buy her daughter’s photo as she spent so much time on making her daughter’s hair look lovely, but her daughter pulled it all out and made a shocking face. She mentioned that now she regrets not buying it as at that time she was stressed a lot and didn’t find it funny. She was glad that other parents kept such funny photos of their kids as a memory. Another parent commented that she didn’t find the photographers to be professional as they sent such pics to the parents.
