This Man Figured Out His Mother-In-Law’s Fear, Brought Home A Tarantula To Keep Her From Visiting Them

It is not easy to make adjustments with your spouse’s family and the struggle continues even after many years of your wedding. It is a never-ending “process” and if you ask the solution, there is none! However, this man found one and it is for you to decide if it was an extreme decision!

The man shared his experience with his in-laws on Reddit, specifically what kind of relationship he shares with his mother-in-law and no, it wasn’t pleasant at all!

He was frustrated with his wife’s mother constantly showing up at their house without telling her plans in advance. This was getting annoying for him with every passing day. He felt their privacy being invaded by her.

This man wanted to take some action that would make her stay away from their family for a while when he discovered her fear of spiders on one occasion.

He knew what he had to do next to get his privacy back!

The spider was his “savior” in this scenario. One day, he came back home with a tarantula and soon, it was a part of their family! The visits from the mother-in-law saw a decline instantly.

He wrote in his post, “Worked like a charm, the dad still comes but the mother can’t stand to be in the same house as it.”

He also wrote that he did ask his wife if she was fine with his decision of bringing a tarantula at their house as a pet and her response was affirmative. But the thing that bothered him was not mentioning the real reason for his action. So, he asked the users on Reddit if he should reveal the truth to her.

The comments were varied as people had different opinions on this matter. Most of the replies were inclined towards the fact that she is aware of all that’s going on but, doesn’t want to accept it. One user said, “I’m sure she’s aware of her mother’s arachnophobia and thought she could play dumb and have it be a win-win.”

What he did was his way of reacting to the intrusion into his family life by his mother-in-law. People react differently according to what they feel convenient at that particular moment.
